Wantirna Little Athletics Club is once again proud to be a part of Knox Little Athletics, where after another outstanding season, Knox Little Athletics finished as the State Champion Centre last season, and we’re ready to do it all again in 2026–27.

Registrations for the 2026–27 Knox Little Athletics Track & Field are now open.

Knox and Wantirna welcomes athletes from Under 6 through to Under 17 to join our Centre for another exciting summer of athletics at the Knox Athletics Track.

Whether your child is returning for another season or trying Little Athletics for the first time, Knox provides a fun, supportive and family-friendly environment where athletes can develop their skills, make new friends and enjoy the full range of track and field events.

For returning athletes, you will have received an email this afternoon with a link to renew your registration for this upcoming season.

New to Little Athletics?

Not sure if Little Athletics is right for your child?

Athletes can trial for up to two weeks before committing to the full season. Further information about trialling is available through Little Athletics Victoria.

We also encourage new and prospective athletes to come along to our Tryout Day on Saturday, 12 September from 10:00 am to experience some of the events available at Knox.

Former Wantirna Little Athlete and Australian racewalker Corey Dickson has made his mark on the international stage at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany.

Competing in the Men’s 20 km Race Walk, Corey clocked 1:25:58, finishing 19th overall in a strong field. His performance helped secure silver for the Australian men’s team in the event.

This milestone follows years of dedication to racewalking, with Corey funding much of his journey himself. Representing Australia at a major international event is no small feat, and Corey’s success is a testament to his hard work and determination.

Congratulations, Corey — you’ve done us proud!

We are reaching out to seek support for Corey Dickson, a former Wantirna Little Athlete who has been chosen to represent Australia at the upcoming World University Games. This is a significant honour and a testament to Corey’s years of hard work, discipline, and dedication to his sport.

Corey’s journey started right here at Wantirna, where he quickly built a reputation as a determined and talented competitor at Wantirna Little Athletics. His passion for race walking has taken him to national and international stages, and now he has the opportunity to wear the green and gold on one of the world’s biggest university sporting platforms.

But this dream comes with a cost.

Competing at the World University Games requires self-funding for travel, accommodation, and training support. Corey needs our help to get there and do what he does best.

How You Can Help:
We are seeking donations—big or small—to help cover Corey’s expenses and ensure he can focus on his performance, not the financial burden. Every dollar will go directly towards helping Corey represent Australia with pride.

With the cross country season coming to an end, its time to think about summer track and field.

Preseason track and field training at Knox will officially get underway from 7th August. Wantirna Athletes are welcome to attend training session with any of the little aths coaches.

First race is 9am Sharp.

If you registered for the summer track and field season you are already registered for Cross country. There is nothing for you to do but turn up and compete.

New Athletes
